Herbalicious Treats for Pets: Snacking the Healthy Way!

Treats are the perfect rewards, used to motivate dogs and even encourage good behaviour.

How do you choose the right treat for your dog?

Never feed your dog onions, chocolates, grapes, or raisins as a treat. These can be fatal.

  • Choose treats made especially for dogs.
  • Look for added nutrients, to get the most out of your dog’s treat time.
  • Keep a track of the calories eaten by your dog and ensure that his daily calorie allowance has not been exceeded with treats.
  • Ensure your dog’s main meals are eaten before treats are offered.
  • Calories from treats should not exceed more than 10% of your pet’s diet.

Read the label carefully.

  • The treat should be preferably low in fat.
  • The treat may contain natural sweeteners like honey rather than artificial alternatives. Avoid artificial flavourings, colours and preservatives.
  • Avoid corn, wheat, and soy, especially if your dog has food sensitivities.
  • Avoid sugar, corn syrup, and salt.

Reward pets for their good behaviour with the goodness from nature. Himalaya’s pet treats have the optimum combination of herbs that is beneficial for your pet’s gut. Himalaya treats offer goodness at every stage from an optimum combination of protein, fats, and energy: for puppies, better digestion and immunity through Fennel and Ashvagandha; for adult pets, good skin health and fitness through Flaxseed and Gokshura; and for senior pets, joint health and stress control through Drumstick and Carrot Flakes.
