Himalaya Supports Learning for Children with Cancer

Himalaya supports the Samiksha Foundation by providing cancer patients with educational, creative, and spiritual programs while they undergo treatment. The curriculum includes yoga, meditation, art, and access to a multilingual library.

Children fighting cancer tend to miss out on their education due to extensive treatment and chemotherapy sessions. Providing educational programs to these children keeps them mentally occupied and brings a sense of normalcy in their lives. Himalaya supports Samiksha Foundation, a creative learning initiative for children with cancer, and their caregivers. Samiksha has centers in Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Center, and Narayana Health, Bengaluru.

As a part of the initiative, the children are provided with educational, creative, and spiritual programs while they undergo cancer treatment, boosting their morale and helping them return to school with dignity and confidence. The curriculum includes yoga, meditation, art, and access to a multilingual library, as well as storytelling sessions to encourage knowledge-sharing.

Nearly 1,800 children have been supported through this collaboration.
